The project was one of the first passive house commercial projects in Ontario, designed to meet passive house standards requiring minimal energy for the operation of the building HVAC and plumbing systems. The mechanical design utilized heat pump technology, energy recovery ventilators, and high efficiency equipment for optimal sustainability.
This passive house 3 storey production/administrative building was built in a forested site in the heart of Haliburton.
